I haven't played the original Baldur's Gate for quite some time, so obviously there are a few things I've forgotten about. I will use this thread to post any questions I have during my adventure.

1. I joined with Kagain to gain some extra experience. He wants me to help him find the child of a noblemen or some such drama. Where do I even begin to look? Kagain never game me any info about where to search. For his foolishness, I plan on dropping him after this quest is complete.

My party consists of.

Daemon (Paladin)
Jaheira
Khalid
Minsc
Dynaheir
Imoen - awaiting my return from Kagain's quest.

I realize this task won't offer much as I've just completed the Bandit camp quest which is much more challenging but I felt like helping the Dwarf anyway.

2. What on earth do I do with Joia's Flamedance ring? I've yet to come across anyone named Joia or anyone who knows the misguided individual.

That shall do for now.

1. Just go to the area N. of Beregost (S of Friendly Arms Inn). Kagain will then call off the search as he can't find the caravan among all the wrecked ones in the area. (no xp.)

2. Just inside in gate of the Friendly Arms Inn there is a door on the left - Joia is inside. Return it for some xp and +1 rep.

1. In the first section of the Cloakwood, is it better to side with the Druid gang, or Aldeth Seshenstar? Aldeth has a Bastard Sword +1 +2 vs Shapeshifters and the druids have a Charm Animal ring. Does it really mater who I choose to side with? Do either of these characters make a reappearance? Will it impact future events?

Thanks.

Nevermind, I remember that helping Aldeth leads to a couple quests later on.
I will not kill him... but I may pick-pocket for that lovely sword.

side with aldeth for more exp and for a big quest later on in baldurs gate to clear dopplegangers for him, so again more exp, side with the druids for a not too useful ring and less exp and in terms of good vs evil, i think both are in the wrong so its up to you rp wise (depends on your views on hunting too, but this is equivalent to medieval times where hunting is part of life)
