I have finally got to the last scene in BG1. The bad news is I keep getting slaughtered by you know who and his cohorts.
I`ve tried going to the left and disarming the traps which can be disarmed but even though my thief can get quite close to Sarevok, I still get wiped out.
I`ve even resorted to cheating (shame!shame!) but I still can`t get the slob-even with a choice of all the items on the cheats list.
I hope someone can help me because I`m starting to have nightmares where you know who is chasing me and I can`t do anything about it.

Spoilers - of course

I crept up on them slowly and emptied several wands of fireballs at their feet. They don't attack because you are too far away for them to see you. The big guy takes no damage and the minions only take a few points each shot, but after several dozen shots the minions are dead! Then I buried the big guy in skeletons and critters from a monster summoning wand. It takes him an entire round to slaughter each furry little critter. Meanwhile the continual hail of arrows brings him down. Don't use area effect spells anymore as they will hurt your critters. Also stay away from the traps at the edges and middle!
