I am planning on taking Coran into my party. I will use him as a bowman.
I think Coran is the most suitable NPC for this task as he has 20 in Dex.

Am I right or wrong about that?

I think you are right about him being the best bowman. Doesn't he have 3 proficiency slots in bow as well.

Coran and Kivan are probably the two best archers in the game. I try to make sure I have both in my party, and I know that once I do, I can easily make it through whatever the game chooses to throw at me. You are wise to take Coran with you [img]smile.gif[/img]

If you build him from the beginning as a bowman Khalid can have 5 proficiency slots and with the guantlets of dexterity and a tome he can be swinging 19 dexterity...I think that this should leave him open to consideration for at least an honorable mention.

I'd have to check his stat's but that shouldn't work w/ khalid. If he needs the gauntlets to get his up to 18 then the tome wouldn't do anything. The tome would raise his base dex(before he puts the guantlets on) and then the gauntlets would raise that to 18. If he's already at 18 then he doesn't need the gloves just the tome

just checked planet bg, that technicque shouldn't do anything(at least to raise his dex to 19) It's normally 16, useing the tome should raise that # to 17 then the gauntlets would raise it to 18, the same # that would be raised w/ or w/out the tome

True there bud...I had the gauntlets on Kahlid for so long I had forgotten his original stats...
