If a single class cleric, say, Branwen reaches lvl 8 (they can) they should get the proficiency, as they get extra prof. every 4 levels. However, they can put prof. in ONLY 3 weapon categories!
So what happens then? |
thought was level 9 they get next prof?
|
I do not think so - It is 2 weapon prof. slots initial and 1 extra slot every 4 levels, meaning 3 slots at lvl 4 and 4 slots at lvl 8.
I guess that you just have do 'dump' that extra slot at lvl 8 Insane |
i havent had that problem so far, and i got level 10 chars running around though maybe it just didnt give me any extra points to place, i cant remember now
|
So am I wrong when I think that the three slots that you start with count at level one and your one slot every four levels count as levels 2,3,4 and then the slot is given on level five then again on levels 9, 13, 17, etc.
|
I guess so
As stated in the manual, the AD&D Players Handbook and on http://www.planetbaldursgate.com/bg/...ciencies.shtml a wizard would get 1 prof. slot initial and 1 slot every 6th level. Imoen, who I dual classed to a conjurer, just reached level 6 and got a new weapon prof. slot. I guess that goes for the other classes too. I.e. a fighter gets 4 slots at lvl 1 and 1 extra at lvl 3, 6, 9, etc. Insane |
The monk in BG2 has the same problem - at level 40 he should have two or three times the prof points he can legaly spend, so the game simply dosent give him the surplus points. I guess the same holds for BG1
