Okay, so I was in Candlekeep, looking for the leaders of the Iron Throne. I found Rieltar and his cronies, and when I approached him with one character, he told me to leave. I said "fine" and left him to call my comrades over. I then rushed in with entangle, paralyze, and hold spells being cast before my tanks started hacking. The Iron Throne heads were taken out, putting up less than a fight...
My question...Do you think this was fair to roleplaying? Obviously, Rieltar did not know who I was, but I knew who he was. An easy attack, and a legit one, I feel, on a character who wasn't hostile. How would you rather do it in real life? Pop your head in to see who's there and have them merely dismiss you, then suprise attack, or run in there and declare your intentions? |
I don't think that it matters either way...Storming in like a bad ass or ambushing after being sent away...after all with all of the problems that you have been causing the Iron Throne, if the head honchos don't recognize you maybe they deserve to get their heads kicked in for being morons.

you know hes pretty evil and causing mass damage so your rp depends on your alignment, if your evil killing him is no biggie, if your all goody goody then killing him like that isnt on, takl to him first and let him attack you. Its not like hes a tough fight
my problem is i killed the guy after talking to him but now everyone talking to me says "i know your innocent, arent you?" and i normally have to say, erm yes of course im innocent still i dont care too much for the rp, the guy deserved it, and in reallife if someone was that evil and messed up things so bad i wouldnt give a 2nd thought to killing him in cold blood, ie put saddam or bin laden in front of me and id kill them without a shred of guilt. wouldnt worry about it too much heh |
