I've done a search on the Writ needed for the Stout mines and can now find it. My problem is that I haven't done the Boogre area and have no ale. After seeing the posts, I have to ask "will I be able to leave without the ale?" Was this something fixed in the patch or should I enter the caves, save in a new slot, and try to exit?

Oh, ya, that guard did say he wanted some ale didn't he? No, if you get the Writ he will let you pass.

If you have the writ you don't need any boogre brew. He always gives you the writ back so you can come and go as you please as long as you had the writ or some brew the first time you entered. http://www.tgeweb.com/ironworks/cgi-...iles/smile.gif

Note that when the guard does return the writ it will be "unidentified" (don't ask me why) so be certain to check all your characters to see which has it (usually the first two - keep space open for it!)
