The shaman tells you that when you defeat the Evil at the Toadem he will give you a Spear and some bags of yellow (gold)and that he would know when it was completed. So when I defeated the Evil I heard the frogs in the distance. I opened the chest and found a spear and some gold amoung other things. Was this the stuff that the Shaman was going to give you ? Because when I returned to see him he asks if I will kill the evil at the Toadem. I am just moving on to other things I just need to know if this counts as completeing this test for the quest to find out what is wrong in the toad village? Thanks

If my memory serves me correctly (which it often doesn't), you have to click on the Toatem, and it says something about evil being gone or something like that. Clicking on the Toatem finishes Shinwiki's quest. Killing the 4 Evils is part of it, and yes Shinwiki will give you Shinwiki's Spear (which is a really weak weapon).

I clicked on the Toatem and it healed my guys but no luck on completing the quest.

Thanks sorry I am so beneath you. I did the quest then checked the walk through. I did everything it has told me needs to be done. Just like everything so far in ths game it seems to have plenty of bugs. The spear isn't that impotant I will press on to other parts.

Make sure you said vel to Shimwiki on return and make sur you touched the cleansed Toadem with EACH character as it doesnt just heal them but gives FIVE (count em) bonus hit points PERMANENTLY.

Parth, the problem you describe has happened to a few others too, including me. I still have no clue why once in a while Shinwiki will not accept that you've completed the quest. I'm pretty sure I did everything right, because it happened to me on my 4th time through, and had no problems the first 3 times. One thing I did differently: I went there before finishing the crypt, or even entering the Asylum. So I have no solution for you, only consolation that it probably wasn't your fault, and that you don't need it for the rest of the adventure.
