We have two spell books, "Lightening" and "Cure Poison." How are they
utilized, can we learn spells from them? Clicking on the book under
"Use" does nothing. Thanks!

No. If your magic-user can learn the spell (either because the same Spell group or correct level of Spell) then you can Invoke the book. If your magic-user does not get a *Restricted* but does not get a Invoke either, wait a while, and raise the level of your spell groups.
