What is the point in getting a Longtooth hide, if the guy doesn't take it? I tried to establish something to do with the hide, but he doesn't recognize I have it. He won't take it if I give it to him. So what is the point, if he won't take the thing? Is he teasing me? Should I make him a hide as well? I hate these kind of NPC's (the stupid ones).

For some reason, he may have a full inventory. You can buy something from him, or pickpocket him and then try to give him the hide.
