I recently bought totsc at my local costco and it turned out to have 4 discs. I wouldn't normally be suspicious but it looked to have been previously opened so I'm asking how many discs are supposed to be in it? :confused:

The regular Baldur's Gate game has five discs, TOTSC adds one more, making a total of six.

I've heard that if you buy the "The Original Saga" packaging, the 6 CDs have been compressed into 3.

What do your discs look like?

totsc on its own should be 1 disc, but who knows you might have got some bonus ones as well or it might be the shop owners private porn collection that he wondered where it had gone [img]tongue.gif[/img]

SixOfSpades is right, but there's a 4th CD included with the Original Saga version, that has the game's soundtrack on it. Hope this is what you just bought. This version has the patch already in it, too.

I bought the original saga I guess. Does that mean that my regular bg is useless?

The original saga comes with 4 CD's 3 to play the game and the BG soundtrack. Well I got the BG soundtrack when I bought it.

If you bought The original saga you no longer need your old BG game. Place it on E-bay, garage sale, gift for friend etc.

My brother and I both are fairly far in our bg games. If I install this will we have to start new games? Or will we be able to play our old games on the original saga :confused: . (I'm at the cloakwood forest with a level 5 and 6 team.)

It should be OK to install it but I would not take my woed on that. To be safe you can complete your game, than install the expansion and load your final save. I have heard of people loading their final save and then leaving to do the TotSC quest.

That is also the reason I think it could work for any saved game but not sure about it.
