I tried bashing the lock , it just says "Lock Jammed" after that and it will not try to bash again ??

How do you open the Lich door in the study ?? I have the staff , my rogue/thief is at level 14....the lock keeps jamming. Is there anything there worth going for ??

It's just random treasure back there...the lock is level 12, so if you're much lower than that, you probably will flub it. If you go back to Brimloch Roon and purchase a high level lockpick (say level 5) then you can use that and you'll probably be successful. Lockpicks add to your skill level in Traps & Locks; anything 10 or above should be able to "pop" it.

If I recall correctly - you can bash that particular lock open - there are no traps on it.

One the lock is jammed I doubt that any amount of bashing would work. You could restore your game and try again if your last save isn't far from that position. Otherwise, you'll have to follow Saz's good advice!

Make sure you bash with your strongest character. If you have a mage or warlock he should have a strength of 24 by now if you invoke all those amulets of silence, healing etc.
