I have a new HP computer with Windows ME. The farther I get in the game,
the more frequently the screen freezes and picture disintegrates. Does
the Patch correct this? Have been reluctant to download Patch, but now
it may be necessary to progress in the game. Many thanks!

Dear rngamer,

If you're currently running in Hardware mode, change your options to run in Software mode. (Click on the computer icon near the bottom left of the screen). This tends to solve the disintegration problem.
