I'm playing w\a fighter\cleric and for some reason when I get to Naskel and start chapter two I get Minor drain as a special ability in stead of cure light wounds. Wereas when I play w\my thief\mage I only get cure light wounds. Does any body knpw why this?????????

It's not Alignment; it's Reputation. If your Rep is 10 or above (somewhere around there), you'll get the "Good" ability, which in this case is Cure Light Wounds. If your Rep is 9 or below, you'll get the "Evil" ability, which in this case is Larloch's Minor Drain.

I always thought it was your alignment too, although reputation and alignment are of course quite closely bound. In any case, it's one of those two which decide the special abilities you receive.

It's not a good idea to post a message twice if you aren't new either. Not that anything bad will happen straight away, the assassins will have to fly over to your place first ;)
