How many of these annoying kobolds must I kill? I went down into this crypt and the kobolds just keep coming. Someone must cast raise death on them 'cos they are around (ok allmost) every corner. I leave a place and when I return then it is crowed with those fire shooting bugs.

Yeah, I took me while to get the catch of it. They simply regenerate over and over again.

So they regenerate those small XXXXX  . I better get out of there and get some healing portions in a hurry.

Uhh. How can they regenerate when they are dead??

They neither regenerate or spawn afresh...They simply flock to the light of freedom and acceptance in todays Sword Coast...In answer to the original question you shouldn't kill any of them but befriend them and give them a nice home instead...BYOB

What's going on today????

I ask a few questions and people just spam instead of giving a real answer.

Continue and I'll report it to Memmy. Really!

This is very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To answer the question - the kobolds respawn constantly from pre-set locations. You can prevent them from doing it by leaving a party member on the spawn point, but that makes it harder further in. Your choice. I cant recall exactly how I did it, but I did kill many hundreds of Kobolds.

Oh, and while Im on. On both occasions you got the real answer and didnt understand it. Consider your own words before calling in the moderators. ALthough NiceWorg could have phrased it better in this instance.

To say nothing of Baggins..... ;)

The Kobolds in Firewine are a pain because there's so many of them, and no matter what your AC is, 20% of their shots will be Critical Hits. Just accept it and move on. The dungeon itself is no fun either, as the passageways are so narrow that before you know it, one of your party members bumps into another and says to himself, "Oh, I'll just ignore what I've been told to do and take the long way around," wandering off on his own and stepping squarely on a Lightning Bolt Trap.

My strategy: You only need TWO people to clear this dungeon: Your Thief and your Tank. Leave the rest at the entrance, where no Kobolds spawn, while you go collect a few quivers full of Fire Arrows.

My bad english again... forgive it, the word re-spawn didn´t hit my mind. AS USUAL. No spam intended, either.

Sorry guys. I was just a "little" annoyed yesterday and to fast to blame you for spaming.

Grungi 11-11-2002 07:38 AM

way i did this one as the kobolds continually respawn is leave a character in each main room i find as i go along, then using my thief to explore most of the dungeon on her own so she can defuse all the traps and kobolds just arent worth fighting, then everyone leg it all out as you move one party member up a room at a time and then all make for the exit, not much of use down there anyhows
