I don't think I want to become a vampire (or do I?). Is there any other way to get the element idol from her??? Or can I just kill her without making anyone mad at me or ruining other quests? Please help. Thank you in advance.

It is true that offing her will give you the XP and it's the quickest way. However, another non-violent solution is to have someone with fairly high skill in Pickpocket (say 6 or greater; high Dex probably helps as well) "pick" the element off of her. This will also yield the *ahem* rather unorthodox responses by her when you *ahem* "use" the Tusk of Lust on her...no wonder the game has a "Mature Rating" on the front... It's also hilarious (and also somwhat shocking) if you try to pick her repeatedly and fail...she eventually ends up using some EXTREMELY compromising terms on you.
