O.K. sounds bad, but I want the exp. points and thrill of dropping the dragon. If I get the sword, etc. from him, does anyone know of any repercussions (sp?) I might face later in the game. Looking for a decent fight...everything but the Mantraps have been a pushover.
Cheers and THANKS! |
It has been said by more great men that YES
you can take him out, without any great complications later on in the game. |

Hey now Wyvern.....granted I haven't met the dragon yet, so I don't have a full grasp of his situation, however, he started BBQing my team outside without provication. Worse yet, the first time this happened I was already engaged in a fight and had no idea where the hell this stream of fire was coming from roasting my poor team (sniff sniff.) Since I've offed the Stout King for anoying me with his mines (yes, I got stuck at the very far end of the trolly ride and couldn't get back to the lava and dragon ore area,) it would only seem appropriate to off the dragon for an unprovicated attack...right?
So close to Frodo, he lets me borrow his ring so I can get drunk and play pranks on my neighbors, |
LOL!!
He fried me too - or tried to - as I wandered the Shire but probably my very favorite part of this game is riding on my horse and following the path of the dragon! I love watching him fly!! He still lives in my game and I know you can restore him in your game, if you want to play through again. So do what you want with him -but just remember he is a thing of beauty! Wyv |
A thing of beauty is to be cherished forever......I'm all for cherishing his flame breathing head above the harth of my fireplace.
Confucious say: Never look up when dragon fly overhead. |
He breathed down on me in the Shire, but only after I'd completed the Stout Mines and had Dragon Armour (hence, his fire was worthless) so I had a little frolic with the big guy; it was about noon, and I had a horse, so I road around chasing after him -- the animation of those wings, and of his body in general, *is* quite beautiful.
Of course, I gladly killed him and got my experience later, but he /was/ a thing a beauty, to be sure... |
The second time I played I wanted the shroud back for the off-hand of my monk (he get's his second attack anyway as long as he's not overloaded). Mr E. didn't want to give it back any other way. He's easier than 4 mantraps in close combat, but I still used most of my spirit mana healing my party.
By the way, have we got any indication of it's sex, apart from having a low voice? But then again, female dwarves have low voices too, don't they Belchin'? |
