Hi. I've just installed the Dark Side of the Sword Coast home-made expansion and I've discovered that all of the new items in the game have no item descriptions for them. So basically I have no idea what any of them do. Is this normal? Or am I experiencing a bug? Any insight would be appreciated.

It must be a bug because all the items in my game had something even if it was "Special ???????".

You should find and install the Dark Side of the Sword Coast patch. Might help.

If this was BG2 id say "get the weiDU version" and leave it at that. But weiDU dosent work on BG.

Problem is your dialogue.tlk. for some reason it hasnt been updated with the new strings that ocntain the item descriptions. Its possible you have a foreign verison, in which case either play in english or find an appropriate patch for DSotSC.

Or maybe you messed up the install. Hmm, DSotSC is a self-extractor isnt it? Pretty simple them. But still, look for a dialogue.tlk somewhere other than your main BG directory, and if youifnd one move it there
