On the settings...

Spawn Frequency: I set this to low until I gained more power, now it seems like I should keep it high to increase the amount of exp I get. Right or wrong?

Monster Difficulty: When I just started this game (not knowing how to cast spells), I got my... rear-end... kicked repeatidly. I decided to set the difficulty to easy and when I think about changing it back I really see no specific advantage to making the lil buggers more powerful. Right or wrong?

Safeguard Mode: I see no reason to chance attacking an NPC when I don't want to and there is always the override button so safe seems like the only good choice. Right or wrong?

I played with the same settings ( easy, low and safe) and didn't have any problems wiht killing Cet

Thx for the info but I'm thinking of setting it to high frequency to gain experience more rapidly.

Monster difficulty hard gives more experience too.
