I have 3 monkey idols and the serpent idol. I need another monkey idol. I have two I found in chests and the one from the little dude walking around. My hope is that maybe some kind soul might know which 3 chests contain the idols, so that I don't have to back through every single step in the temple to find the one I missed??

One chest in the first room or 2 you come to, one in room 4 of the 6 room puzzle, one in the area accessed by the lift in the kitchen (save befor entering - beware lift bug). Aaaah, answered this so many times, but it takes me back to my first ever post and the help I got back then to get me moving again. Good luck.
