I picked up a rat skull in a chest somewhere in the Crypt of Bersault...What is it used for?

We done some extensive research on this subject and have found that the rat skull

makes a good door stop
is a pretty good paper weight
frightens small children
is a rather strange Christmas tree ornament
looks nifty on the top of a staff
takes up space in your inventory

No, it can't be used with the spider eggs (I tried). But if you don't have a human skull and you have sold one in town, you can buy one in the armory! I wasted mucho time looking for a new skeleton to kill when all I had to do was buy one back.
