When I run the game, either in software or hardware 640x480, the game constantly crashes. It is a random crash, and occurs about 5-10 minutes after I start playing. My mouse pointer stops moving, and the system stops responding, no error messages. I have tried everything that has been suggested on this board, unless I have missed something. I have also tried everything suggested by HP and Activision. Any possible solutions would be greatly appreciated. My system specs: Athlon 1.1ghz, 128megs of ram, GeForce2 GTS card with Detonator3 drivers, SB Live card with latest drivers, directX 8.0, and Windows ME. Here are the things I have tried that havent worked: reinstalled W&W, minmized all graphical features, tried different drivers for the graphics card. This has happened before and after the patch was installed.

I think your problem may be with the Windows ME. Running in software mode seems to lessen the problems -
I think slip posted on the site to which my tag line links some information for people having problems because of Win2000 or WinME - follow the link.
Someone else who is far more knowledgeable in this should be along soon to give you some real help!

Have you got the patch yet?

Im running ME with no problems also soundblaster live graphics card is a savge 4 and only software mode is stable. Have been several posts about GeForce cards but as you have tried different drivers this may not be the problem. All I can suggest is turn off all TSRs and ensure you have a large swap file on C:

I updated the video drivers of my NVidia TNT2 card to the detonator3, and had exactly the same problem. Do you have/can you get older drivers? That might solve your problem (it solved mine).

exactly my symptoms there - inexplicable freezing about 10 minutes into game. I'm going to try software mode. I've tried everything else.
