I have an idea for a Rogue/Druid/Bard character who will be my talky character as well as a decent spellcaster. My problem is stat allocation.

Since you only need Disable Device, Open Locks, and Pick Pockets at certain times, I'm wondering if I can circumvent this restriction by lowing physical stats, and shapechanging into a high-DEX type for the above skills (I think the Wolf shape has a 17-19 DEX). It's kinda cheesey (how many wolves do you know that can pick pockets?), but I'm wondering if it'll actually work.

If you know, or can possibly test this, I'd love to hear the answer. It will greatly influence a really fun party idea I have brewing in my head.

Another idea: A Bard/Druid. Can you cast spells like mirror image, and then shapechange (I mean, I know you can, but will spell effects still be active)?

I'm pretty sure it won't work. Shapechanging alters the weapon slots to whatever attack mode (paws, etc) of the beast into which you have changed, and also gets rid of the quick slots. If you can't drink a potion, I'll bet you can't pick a lock.

As for the second idea, I'm not sure. Any bard/druid I carry will not be going into melee anyway.
