...and where can I find it (looking for regular and HoF mode shields)?

I've got a neat little deep gnome rogue/paladin/illusionist character and want to see how great I can make his AC by maxing his DEX all the way.

Off the top of my head, I don't recall seeing any fantastic shields - not like IWD/HoW where you can get a +4 AC bonus with damage resistances. Besides, a +4 AC in IWD/HoW means a lot more on HoF mode than a +4 AC on IWD2 HoF mode.

The Blessed Flank of the Virgin (HoF version, bought in Targos, set item) is a +4 shield bonus with a +3 Dex and spell failure of 15%. I wouldn't do much casting with it unless you've been burning feats on Armored Arcana, and the +3 Dex can be mimicked by Cat's Grace, so it's still not a "must-have" item. I think I've seen a +5 AC bonus (can't remember item name, but HoF, Severed Hand, I think), but I sold it because it was a tower shield with a huge arcane failure rate.

Shields really aren't very good for arcane casters, because an unpenalized mirror image casting is more valuable than a relatively small AC bonus.

I suspect a monk/pal/illusionist could get a better AC, depending on stat distribution, if that's what you're looking for.
