Way back when IWD II was released, Bioware released a ton of official bonus portraits and soundsets on the IWD II site. I just went to download them and the site is no longer up. Anyone know if they are still up for download anywhere?

I remember then being really good, some of them better than the ones that come with the game, and now that I've just got a brand spanking new copy of the game I wouldnt mind getting hold of them again.

What's the url?

If you mean the interplay site, then I believe it is down permanently...

You can try using the internet way-back machine to see if you can find them.

I was able to find some portraits on a black isle site for IWD2, but no soundsets. You might have better luck if you remember what site they were on.

I remember the site, it was the official game site, theres a link to it in your IWDII directory but like I said above the site is down now its no longer there. I used the 'internet way-back machine' but gave up after an hour or so. I just posted here to see if anyone remembered the files and if they knew whether they were being hosted on another site somewhere, but if not no biggie.

This is the website from Feb 2002
http://web.archive.org/web/200202050...blackisle.com/

And this is from April 2004
http://web.archive.org/web/200404082...com/index.html

I couldn't find the link to the portraits and soundsets that you mentioned. But try yourself maybe you'll get it.

You can visit http://www.archive.org/index.php to try earlier versions of websites that are down now.

Or http://www.searchengineshowdown.com/.../archive.shtml to find other websites that offer such services.

Thanks alot! nice site. When Olorin said I should use to Internet way-back machine, I mistook what he was saying as a sarcastic response to my post that began with 'Way back when', I thought he was implying I was being lazy and should search the internet a little harder, my appologies Olorin, I just misread what you were saying ; ;

Yeah I know about sorcerors, I normally avoid those type of portraits though(usually scanned from the cover of fantasy novels), they just look silly to me when they dont match the ones in the game, the IWD portraits are very distinctive.

Oh well its been around 5 years since the game was released and there seems to be no evidence on the net that what I'm searching for ever existed. Although I'm still fairly certain I'm right, I may have just dreamt the whole thing. I'll keep my eye open for them and if I find them I'll let you know, thanks for the responses.
