I heard someone say that they have poor saves vs death...does this mean poison because every time one of my characters is poisoned (or almost every time) I see "save vs death".

So I tried casting Toxic cloud on the golem but I still got "magic resistance". Do Poison arrows work? Is there some magic spell that works (and PLEASE don't tell me cloud kill, I just now got to the point where my mage can cast Level 4 spells :( ).

Just send in a tank to catch the blows and use some potions of strenth&haste to kill the 3 of them (in the cave where the tome of "whatever" is)

worked for me

Er no I've got all the itmes out of the Cave. I just want to fight them for experience. What's the least expensive way (read:not buying 20938490238 arrows) to kill them?

Like I said, with poison. NOT the kind you breathe. Of course, you don't have to do it this way, it just happens to be my favorite way. Other tactics include getting really agressive with a Backstabbing Thief (with an Invisibility Potion if he gets caught between 2 of them), etc. Don't use Normal Arrows, or any kind of Normal Weapons on them--I think they're immune. (Been a long time.)

I may be the one who is wrong here but are not ALL Golems extremely magic resistant?

You're right Baggins, all golems are resistant to magic, though I think how resistant they are varies.

I use arrows of biting to kill the golems, which works out rather well, because the sirenes near the flesh golem cave drop quite a few of them. So I slaughter the sirenes, take their arrows, and use them against the golems. They drop like flies ;)

If you don't want to use these arrows, you can just use magical weapons - all you need is a +1 weapon or better to hit them. If you make sure your party gathers round the golem and all of them try and hit it, it will go down in about a round.

All golems are effectively immune to magic that is why you use poison arrows or another such weapon. That way the effect isn't magical. The saving throws are something different altogether.
