Ok, do these guys ever kick like they did in BG2?
I'm playing a Human Male Monk, and I know it worked in BG2, and IWD2 is a more recent game. I'm confused. I've already been directed to this site, but I can't figure out how to get Near Infinity to work. |
No, they do not. IIRC, when Black Isle was creating IWD2 and allowed all races to be monks, they didn't want to invest the incredible time that would have been required to update the appropriate animation files so that all races would fight like the human monks do in BG2.
As for using NI to import the BG2 human monk animations into IWD2, sorry, I'm not conversant in that sort of stuff. |
I read a post once (not sure if it was here or elsewhere) about somebody who imported the Neverwinter Nights animations into IWD2.
As for how, I haven't the faintest idea. :D |

Crap. I love my Monk, but hate how he looks.

I tried a monk just to see the way it looks, and man it does look stupid.

I GOT IT!!!
Okay, the directions on this site should be changed so that dummies like me can change their Monks! 1) You need to put that Near Infinity program in your IWDII folder, where IWD2.exe file is located. 2) You need to extract those files into the IWDII folder. 3) You can then close NI. Go to the IWDII folder, and rename THOSE files. 4)Drag those files into the override folder. Now you have a KICKING (human/subraces only) Monk! YES!!!! |
