Is there Lore in this game, like in BG or IWD1? Or is it a skill? Who is best at identifying stuff (I would assume Bards... but how)?

Lore has been broken into two skills in IWD2. Alchemy is used for identifying potions, and knowledge\arcana for identifying everything else.

Bards by 3rd edition do get some sort of special lore bonus but AFAIK this has not been implemented in IWD2.
