Can anyone explain this? My Stormlord takes about 20-25 damage every time he casts. Is it because of the metal armour? The weapons?

To be frank, unless the Lightning Bolt is rebounding and hitting him, he shouldn't be taking damage.

Sounds like you have a bug.

It could be because of teh place you are casting it to, it is hitting him a bit? It's happened to me before.

Once, I got hit by my own lightning when I tried to cast it downwards(south). The spawn of the bolt is at the character's hands, and while it flew, it hit my feet. But happening on a regular basis? Must be some bug or something...

The real question is, Why are you using lightning bolt in the first place? :D

It must be a bug, since that sure as hell shouldn't happen. Are you patched?

Aerich 07-31-2005 02:01 PM

I'm pretty sure I'm patched - I think I re-patched after my reinstall of a while ago. I will double-check.

It's happened three times so far (just finished the dark treats in Fell Wood). However it didn't happen with Chain Lightning.

As for the reason why I'm using Lightning Bolt, it's better than I expected it to be. With a DG monk as tank/decoy to evade or resist it, it's quite good. I wouldn't trade it for fireball, but it's generally a better choice than a 10 round Storm Shell as a Talos domain spell.
