-   -   Which 2 Sword Combo am I best with?! (http://www.ironworksforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25753)

So my character is a Level 13 Nuetral Evil Drow Fighter

1 Two Weapon Fighting
1 in Ambidextria
3 in Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Bastard Sword
3 in Martial Weapon Proficiency: Long Sword

These are all the swords I have laying around...

Dykhast Longsword (+4 Damage, +2 Enchantment)
Longsword +3
Scimitar +4
Scimitar +3
Scimitar of Acid +2
Wights Blade (Bastard Sword 66% Chance of Casting Bane)
Bastard Sword +2: Black Adder (2 Poison dmg over 6 seconds)
Bastard's Son (Bastard Sword +2)

Which should I use (mainhand and off hand) and which should I sell?
I'd like to keep one Weapon Slot open for a Bludgeoning Weapon & Shield, and one open for a Missle Weapon

OR Should I start putting points into Axe and use an axe in one hand? So many options...

Main Hand: Dykhast Longsword
Off Hand: Scimitar +4(or Acid +2, depending on what enemy you're facing)
I personally love Bastard swords, but in IWD2 they're underpowered, and if you install Ease of Use they become seriously overpowered. The Bastard's Son is a good balanced sword in EOU mod.

Okay now to add more fuel to the fire. I have aquired the Bastard Sword+3: Cold Fire (1d10+3, 1d6 Cold Dmg, 1d6 Fire dmg) Which seems so far to be the best sword I have found to date. but I do have enough money to purchase a Longsword +4 or Bastard Sword +4

So right now I am using:
RH - Bastard Sword+3: Cold Fire
LH - Bastard Sword+2: Black Adder (2 Poison dmg over 6 seconds)

Would I be better off with say
RH - RH - Bastard Sword+3: Cold Fire
LH - Bastard Sword +4 (or vise versa)
?

Or even:
RH - Bastard Sword+3: Cold Fire
LH - Long Sword +4 (or vise versa)

Generally, weapons that have an effect are better than plain magical weapons.(Weapons that are magical with no additional effects.) Where are you in the game right now? IIRC there aren't any(with the exception of maybe the final bosses) enemies that have Damage Reduction.

I'd get the last combo, but rather try and find a Scimitar because it is a smaller weapon, meaning your off hand attack bonus would be greater(if the scimitar is in the off hand) and it's 2 damage less than a long sword make up for it's better critical range.
