I would to know if I give Emoen the book +1 int to make her 18 in int , it will stay that way when I will finish BG1 and begins BG2. I know she's a mage in bg2 but with 17 int and I want her to have 18 to cast lvl 9 instead of taking again and again Edwin. I want her to be a better thief before I begins bg2. Just want to know if she keeps her stats in bg2.

thx

Sorry entreri, but you can't export NPC's from bg1 to bg2. Some of the characters from bg1 cross over to bg2, but the decision isn't really up to you. None of the stats cross over, nor do the experience points or the equipment. The main character, however, can be exported to bg2, with all experience, and stats improvements, but still no equip, without cheating. You can use the tome on imoen, but there's no real benefit to you after bg1.

So basically u should give all tomes to the main character, cause all the NPCS are not going to be transferred anyway. i'm i right or not??

Thats the way I do it normally, altough it istechnically cheating. In the PnP-rules you are only allowed to use 1 tome, IIRC.

A second option maybe to edit the stats of the NPCs in BG2 to the values they got via the tomes in BG1. But some NPCs have increased stats anyway in BG2 (Vics Wis raises from 16 to 18, Minsc has better Con and Dex).

Use the tomes on the main character (as said) if you want to continue your adventure in BGII and ToB. If you stay in BGI then you can raise other NPC's stats.

Only one item can be found in BGII after you have exported you character but it is a hugh spoiler so I won't say what it is.

If I only knew then, what I know now, my Paladin would be smarter and wiser. And Imoen would not be smarter, and Yeslick would not be wiser.

Here's another question along the same lines: Can you transfer a DSOTSC character into BG2? I'm in a DSOTSC game right now, and I'm just wondering.

You can use Dalekeeper (I think the name is) to change the stats if you want to.

You sure can.
