is there any way to disarm or otherwise get around the reappearing/disappearing wall trap in the temple? it's on the left side of the map. is it a situation where I just have to take the damage? or is there a way to get past without getting hurt?

Simply... a thief can find it and disarm it... if you cant do that maybe your find/remove traps stats are not high enough... you can drink a potion and/or use the luck bard song to improve them
