I went to a walkthrough and it gave me directions, and I THOUGHT I had followed them but apparently Ididn't because I can't seem to find the will o' the wisps that you're supposed to find in the Fell Wood. I've done the quest for the corspe and saved the children, but I can't seem to get to the wisps and finish the damn woods. Is there something else I'm supposed to do?

Use Wilderness Lore. Even a cleric without a single point of WL will have a half decent WL skill based on his his WIS.

Wilderness Lore is the key to this area.

Start from the stone circle thing where you found the ghost's drinking horn. Use WL to get there quickly (find your way to the dryad near the "sound of running water through trees" or whatever, then to the "wind through an open area"). There were no exits before, but now there are four. Use WL-- though it won't help you find the correct exit from the stone circle, but that's not too much of a big deal. Once you're out, WL (and/or the dryad's directions, if you got them from her) will tell you where to go. Don't forget to check for traps before running around anywhere in the Fell Wood. It's a dangerous place.

Also, if you get "your tracking skills reveal nothing about this location", try moving a few steps and try again. I found that WL likes to toy with you this way, but if you keep asking, it will give you the directions eventually, since you can't really go on without them.

Its much easier actually just to select the character and keep hitting F4 till you get something.

Midget Gems 11-15-2003 02:43 AM

Greetings, fellow adventurers. Team 'Midget Gems' are presently wandering in the Fell Wood, so the tip about using Wilderness Lore was very welcome. We are still trying to adjust to how to use many of the new feats; in the heat of battle they get forgotten as we revert to IWD1 style of play. Once we found the 'Lights' it was a pretty tough fight, we didn't have the correct protection spells memorised, but now we are making progress once again. Thanks.

So, Spydar, keep a look out for us - we're the small people skulking about in the bushes.

Ps. For those who remember I am playing with my 'Guys & Gals' party from IWD1 but this time the game is so much harder that the Gals are having to join in the fighting.

eeepp!!! skulking shadows in the trees!!!

way to trip my paranoia switch shorty. and the doctors were saying I was doing so well....

Midget Gems 11-15-2003 03:58 AM

No more skulking for us, the wood is clear and we're gone.
Hey, Spydar, don't call us Shorty, we might get upset - my team are vertically challanged!
