The head magic guy orc - whose name I don't recall offhand - has a key that opens the back door entrance to the horde fortress. You get it when you kill him. The entrance itself is off to the east. Seek and ye shall find ;)

There are a bunch of keys/devices needed to find your way around the Horde Fortress. It's not really clear which one you're looking for.
Outside: You are not going to get a key to the big gates with the flags, until you need it to get out again (rather than to get in). As Nightowl2 (and the female scout) will tell you, there's a smaller entrance to the east, the key to which gate is found where Nightowl2 said (but clear out the rest of the area to the west first). Inside (the Goblin Warrens): You need a password for the first door you encounter, or you can go around the long way, or you can both get the password and go around the long way to get to level 2 of the Warrens. On level 2, you need to find 2 wardstones (held by 2 enemies) to get upstairs to the courtyard. The staircase up and out is easily missed (by me at least), but once you find the stairs, they're unmistakeable as the ones that need the wardstones you got. Outside again (courtyard): If the first door to the inner building is not already open, one of those guards has the key. I admit I don't remember whether I got a key, if so, who I got it from, or the door was already open, since I just killed every enemy before proceeding anyway. This is, though, where you get the key to the big gates, in case you need to leave and go back to the scout to rest. It's a lot faster than trailing back through the Warrens to get outside. Halfway in (fortress foyer): Between the first door back inside, and the actual fortress is another door, locked. I think this does not have a key, either, but is unlocked automatically when you kill all the enemeies in the small "waiting room". Otherwise you get the key from the last enemy in that room. Don't worry, you'll know him when you (suddenly) see him. You'll know you're all done with key-finding when you see the cut-scene. After that, just regular lockpicking will do for locked doors.
