In BG2, and especially ToB, you used some gems (rogue stones, diamonds, emeralds, star sapphires, king's tears, nymphs tears, etc.) to upgrade weapons and armour, or to access places (e.g. twisted rune).

Is it the same in IWD2, or can I sell off all my rogue stones and so on? I don't want to sell them all and then find I cant do something.

I don't want any spoilers, just tell me what gems to keep (if any), please.

There is no weapon upgrading in IWD2, like there was in BG2.

And there aren't any things (except Oswald's Mending Spell) which need gems either? Or are there?

Sell it all, except the diamonds you need for Oswald's spell. Gems and jewels are just for money in this game.
