Does anyone know how to kill the first crystal golem in the Ice palace. I have used every Item I could find. On a walkthrough they suggested fire, nothing!!! I've tried changing the difficulty to make it easier to kill to no luck. right now the stupid thing is following my party around punching at any stragglers. If I missing something let me know!!!!!!

Been awhile but I recall them being vulnerable to blunt weapons like hammers and maces. Don't think I used any spells on them, just whacked away. I also think you need like +2 or +3 to hit in the first place.

They have high damage reduction to everything except blunt. I killed it with a basic non-magical quarterstaff.

Byrd, there was a note that you should have picked up where in Sherincal scolded her people and told them to not throw rocks at her precious crystal golems. ;)


So throw rocks (use a sling!) at the crystal golem!!! ;)

(or other blunt weapons)

K well i used somewhat "cheesey" tactics on this one. I had someone with speed and high HP run around and make the golem chase him and had a couple people wait at a certain point and every time he would pass them i would wail on him with Q-Staffs.

Nothing cheesey about that. Sounds like good tactics to me.

Thanks for the help, but... I tried every weapon. I did fix it by going back in time to before I met the Invincible Golem. The second time it folded like the first mouse.

By the time you meet him, you should have a few throwing hammers +1. Equip them as melee and bash the SoB. He has 100% damage reduction to everything except for blunt. Actually, blunt weapons have about 300% bonus damage on these guys.
