I am trying to install IWD2 and I keep getting an error message saying "minimum uncompressed, cyclic redundency check failed" I have had this game for awhile and had installed it when I first got it, I was running windows 98 then, now I have windows xp. I never had any trouble installing before with 98. Any ideas?

CRC failure means one of the files is damaged. Possibly its a scratch or dust on the CD, possibly your CDROM needs cleaning. I dont think winXP should cause anything like this, except maybe through some bad drivers.

thanks for your help, I didnt think xp would cause it, I just threw it in there just in case it did, never know.

I am an honor student at ITT Tech, I was elected to be in the Honor Society, I will graduate in less than a month with an associates degree in compuer and electronic engineering, I am enrolled for a bachelors degree in Information Systems Security, But I cant figure out that I need to clean the cd for it to install, I want my money back on my student loans.
