Does anyone know why when u gain experience for completing a quest or mission it doesn't tell u how how much u got?

Try activating the "Display Quest Experience" button in the IWD2 configuration utility under the "game" tab. You can activate the configuration routine from the startup menu or by running the config.exe program in the main IWD2 folder.
