Hi, I am new here kind of. I have been reading the site for a few weeks while playing and decided to make a post.

This may seem stupid but I have purified the water on the 3rd floor and the globe is now supposedly vulnerable. Problem is I can't destroy it. Weapons wont work and neither will spells. Is there something I am missing here?

Great site and hope someone can help. I am patched if that matters also.

Remember what Hatemaster Drothan told you to do in 3rd floor?

bring what he told you to cleric tower, do a ritual in ilmater statue and the kill the guy that appear. the globe should be attackable.

I have killed the guy in the cleric tower and performed the ritual. That is how I got the water to purify the water.

Hmmmm I have also reported back to him and told him I have performed the ritual and got xp from it. I am stumped.

They should also tell you something else

Did you complete the ritual after killing the avatar. Now that Xvim’s avatar has been destroyed, it is time to complete the ritual and get the XP bonus for it. The Globe of Essence is now weakened.

You should be able to attack the globe. You should be able to use spells on it as well.

I am either very stupid or not getting my point across.

I have killed Xvim, performed the ritual to Ilmater, got the holy water and the put that water into the basin like thing on level 3 to clense the waters throughout the building.

I have then talked to the Cleric in the war tower and received xp for performing and completing that ritual.

Now I can not destroy the Globe of Essence. I can target it and attack it but none of my weapons do any damage to it. I can only attack it if I actually select a weapon and attack otherwise I get the talk icon and some message about someone secretly looking at me.

Guess I will do some more searching tonight but at this stage I am stuck.

I don't know what to say Kodocha. Sounds like a bug. You do have the patch installed?

hm...first i talked to the cleric protecting the globe actually...try that, it might work for ya. if that doesn't and has nothing to do with anything then...sorry man

Hmm pretty sure I did do that. may have to find a previous save game and go from there. It is most annoying though I know that. I am patched also for the other person that asked.
