I'd like to let you all know about my IWD2 portrait site, Defenders of the Dale.
All of the portraits in my site have been edited by me. The originals are either the official IWD/IWD2 pics or pics that I've downloaded from other sites. [ 02-21-2003, 10:16 PM: Message edited by: Magness ] |

good job, I like it when the females are drawn wearing heavy gears.
|
the ones i htought were excptional were: Katya, Relva. The Helm party was the best and my favortie page was he female mages. does IWD2 have a picture editer built in were u can edit pictures in the game??
|
@Dartanian - No. There is no built in portrait editor in IWD or IWD2. Unless I am mistaken, Magness' edits were done using either JASC Photo Shop Pro or Adobe Photo editor.
@Magness, Nice site layout. I DO recognize some of those pics. |
@Dartanian, I cannot claim any credit for the portraits used for my No Name or Helm's Champions parties. Those were either official IWD/IWD2 portraits or unedited copies of downloaded pics. Of the "Adventuring Party" pics, only the Black Rose party's portraits are my edits.
And, no, IWD2 doesn't have an in-game portrait editor. I'm using Paint Shop Pro to do my edits. @Kakero, I basically agree with you. Not to sound prudish, but I also prefer the portraits of women that look ready for combat as well. Those fantasy pics with nearly naked women running around with swords, a little armor on their shoulders, and with little else but a thong may be amusing to look at, but they just don't seem practical. I don't care if you're a man or a woman... if you're going into battle with a melee weapon, you're not going to fight half-naked given a choice. |
Hiya, Micah. I've exchanged a couple Emails with your Wyndz of War partner.
And, yes, you were right. Paint Shop Pro. I'm curious which ones are familiar to you. I told Mike that I've downloaded froma number of sites and no longer remember which came from where. And since your original Wynds of War site is no longer up, I cannot go back and see for myself. Thanks for the compliments on the site layout. I originall was using a non-framed version that Mike liked better. But I've decided to stick with the framed version because it handles site navigation much better. |
