Okey, I'm in Severered hand and I think I've done everything I can... but... how do I access the Wizard tower?

Kakero 02-16-2003 06:13 AM

okay, in wizard tower, you'll see five blue spirals. Click on it according to the correct sequence and you'll be teleport to next floor. If the sequence is wrong. you'll get zap.

If I remember well, this is the correct order:

1
3 4
5 2

Luvian is correct. That is the proper order. There is also a quest associated with discovering the proper sequence for some red wizards of thay.

Thanks guys, I checked this last night and found out the correct sequence... and finally finished the game! Ugh, the last battle was so hard until I discovered who was summoning all these monsters...
I'm going to have to finish it again because I didn't know that after the Halfdragon battle you'd get sweeped right into the finalbattle... and I still hadn't freed Ormis... I want to try that...

Oh and how do you start HOF mode... I couldn't see it anywere when starting a new game after finishing...

Kakero 02-17-2003 04:11 AM

from the start/program/black isle command. go to game configuration. under game difficulty setting click on heart of fury mode. next start your game.

One word of warning about HOF ... once you start a game in HOF mode, the difficulty is LOCKED with the saved games. You can still switch off HOF mode to start another game, but the difficulty level is actually saved within the save games once HOF is enabled. Check out the Autosaves - they are now tagged as being HOF mode. I believe that change was implemented to prevent people from exploiting the "switching difficulty cheese" that was avaliable in IWD/HOW. In IWD1, you could switch the difficult "on the fly" - turning HOF ON prior to dialogues / completing quests and turning it OFF the rest of the time. VERY CHEESEY but doable.
