this may be a really obvious question, but i CANNOT seem to figure out how to use the magical items. (i.e. clenched fist mace) i know that its ability is quite lame, but there are others that have great capabilites. when (and if) i ever find the staff of fireballs, how in the heck do i use that thing??? is there sone slot i am missing??

<font color=skyblue>It has been quite a few months since I have played the game, so if my answer is not 100% accurate, please forgive me. When you equip an item, you see it represented in that little icon at the bottem left of your screen. If I am remembering right, if you right click the item icon you know contains magical essence, then another screen appears there at the bottem that offers a choice of selections. Like if it does fire and ice damage...those two will be represented in the subscreen with how many charges labelled in white numbers. If it is not a right click, then it's a left click. Lemme know if niether of those work, and I will either turn the game on and learn how to do it for you, or somebody else will post and correct me.

man, i *must* be totally retarded!

i have rested until the cows come home and i cannot get that freaking clenching fist thing to create 1 gold! i right click it, which brings up the four quick-equip slots, and i don't see a little # on the bottom right of that box, where every other item box with multiple copies displays that #....? :( what the heck is wrong with my game?

i know my resolution is not tweaked... man, i feeling pretty feeble right now.

your character may need a high " Use Magic Device " skill to use those magical item.

all u have to do is add an icon for use item. left click on an icon that you can remove, like a spell slot or something, and add the "use item" icon instead. Now every time you want to use it just click on the bag icon (use item) and choose what spell effect you desire.

i right-clicked the empty (spell) slot, and then clicked the item, and WHABAM! there it is, what i have been longeing for!
