Hi Folks

I have a Barbarian who can dual weapons amd has proficiencies with :
BASTARD SWORD and AXES both at level 3.

HE is using a :
Bastard 1d10 + 3 + 3d6 fire + 3d6 cold
Bastard 4d10+5 (of heroism)

Anymore weapon combos you would suggest using Bastards or AXES ?
I prefer him dualing.......

He is level 17th by now.

My personal preference when dualing barbarians with alot of strength is to give them one bladed weapon and one blunt weapon. That way, you are dealing out two different types of damage, just in case one is ineffective or less effective. Usually in higher levels of the game...you'll see various enemies having armor resistences to certain weapons. So...My barbarian dwarf has a hammer in his strong hand and a hand-axe in the off-hand. He's very effective.

If I remember correctly, the Bastard Sword of Heroism does the normal 1d10 slashing damage that every bastard sword does, with a +3 modifier (enchantment is +5, but to hit and damage bonuses are both +3) and an additional 3d6 bonus damage, also slashing. So it's total damage potential is (1d10+3) + 3d6 = 7-31.
Not 4d10. ;)

phew

thanks, i thought it might be a mistake ;)

but it still seems to be one of the top weaps in the game,
but my Brill' Shortsword +5 is also kinda nice , is there a differnet reward for beating battle sqs in HoF btw? I know it's been a question here before, but never saw an answer to it...

oh god, please someone tell me where to find this weapon!

i just checked in dale keeper and it says 4d10+5 damage...where do you find it? my solo fighter only averages about...25 with tsuki no ken...but his armour gets boosted to 45 with it...+2 armour class from this moonblade...oops, enough about my fighter where is it!?

Good sword. Does anyone know, where one can actually buy that sword? which level can i go too. I am actually in HOF mode but i think if that sword is worth getting then i will load up my old game and start back tracking till the seller is found. Please post it yah.

Thanks Dmouse

Now I'm confused... I can't find ANY sword in DaleKeeper, be it bastard, short, long, or great, that does 4d10+5 damage. And the Moonblade of Selune does NOT give +2 armor bonus in my game. Are you using a mod of some sort?
