O.K., i need sugestion for weapons for;
1. Paladin, specailastion in long sword
2. Fighter, " " axe

and the dread master of bane you kill in the vale ful of skeletons north of the tower in the kuldahar pass has a diary that mentions a sword somewhere in the dale,and that you may need a consecration medalion to get it, possibly being held by the yuan-ti. Can you get the sword, do you need the medalion and where is it if you do?

All paladin should have specialization in long swords because of holy avenger.
Because of this, you can let you fighter specialize mace which does bludeoning damage. axe does slashing damage.

When you got the medal. you can return to the graveyard in Kuldahar pass to claim the Holy Avenger. click the tombstone that say, 'old kholsa, traveler and ....... ' . be prepare for a tough fight.

You'll get the medallion later in the game. You can't really miss it.

You'll find it in one of the later parts of Dragon's Eye. So yes, it's past this point. ;)

I think the medallion is the least of your worries at this point. When you do try to claim the holy avenger in the graveyard be prepared for a fight of your life. It took me about a few battles before coming out with the right combo to kill all the figthers , cleric, wizard and monk.
