It's Rogue stone. Rouge is french for red. And as far as I know, they have no special use in Icewind Dale II.

They have a special use at any merchant. You can exchange them for gold. You had to have one in BG2 to get to a certain staff, but i dont believe that there is a use for them in IWD2.

Only fire agate gem, diamond and king's tears are useful in IWD2. Sell the rest.

Fire agates are necessary in a certain section of dragon's eye, nothing else is good for anything but cash...

Fire Agate gems are necessary in Dragon's Eye.
Diamond is needed for Oswald's ship mending spell.
And king's tears are needed for my collection if you find any just send to me [img]smile.gif[/img]
