Ok, ive given nathaniel his equipmentx2 and now he wants me to destroy the altar. The altar wants a sacrifice of blood??? And what does it have to do with the abishais upstairs? Ive missed an important clue here. And what is that nickedemus raving on about his future favor?

[ADD] Ehm, I killed the djinni in the room with the casters that took down the ship because I thought he was arrogant. Did I now blew it? Cuz ive been reading about a spirit that needs some good talking to, but I never encountered any spirit here.

It has been a while ago, but I talked to the alter and by chosing some dialogue options a whilwind appeared and started damaging my character then disappeared and the altar was cleansed. You got further dialogue options if by chance you have a Cleric of Talos with high Int in your party.

As far as the favor from Nickedemus (sp ?) he will collect it much much later, when you least expect it, so don't worry about that ;)

If I remember right, the abishais tell you about spirit/god in the altar. When you ask the Djinn about this spirit/god, he tells you how you can get rid of it. There's more than one way and one is by invoking its true name. Since you already killed the djinn, maybe you can ask the gnome cleric (the one who was in the remorhaz) for help.

Re: Nicodemus' favor -- don't worry about it. He'll call it in later on in the game, even after you've left the ice temple.

The djinn that you killed could have told you the name. If you have someone with a high intelligence (sorry, don't know how high), have that person talk to the abishai leader. He or she will recognize the name. Then you can use that to banish the spirit in the latar.

There may be other ways of doing this, but I don't know what they are.

Just as a general thing, it's bad to kill people just because you don't like them. They may habve important info to make your life easier.

I got the true name for that Alter from Nickedemus when I talked to him. I think i killed the Genie also, been a while since i played in the ice temple.

What i did with the altar:

I talked to it with my cleric and said its all over and that no-one is left to feed and sacrifice anything for him or something similair. Then the altar got desperate and started pleading for mercy or something from his god. Then it went berserk and turned into a whirlwind. After the whirlwind dissapeared, the altar was cleansed.
