I want to have a Rogue/Ranger in my party. I planned on getting a 1/2 elf starting as rogue then switch to ranger @ lvl 2 then adding ranger for a few more & switching back to rogue to get something like Ranger 12/Rogue 4. I hope this is good enough for both professions?

I'm mostly concerned about choosing Racial Enemies Does anyone have suggestions?

I also have a ranger/rogue in my current party. I picked "Orcs" for my first racial enemy, since there are so many orcs in chapter 1. When it came time to pick my next R.E., I picked Driders in anticipation of the underdark.

orcs are easy. get powerful or popular enemies. but I care about roleplay perspectives I hate trolls. I prefer trolls. later, ogres
