I spoke with Nikademus in the Ice Temple, asked many questions and was given very helpful answers. After I said farewell he zipped out of the bedroom ahead of me, blue circle showing the whole time. Now when I step out of the room he and a nasty group of friens are waiting and immediately attack!

Can anyone tell me why?

<font color = lightgreen>Did you break into the armoire in his bedroom? I'll bet he didn't like that, because he didn't like it when I did that, either. The problem is that you cannot kill him, because your game will end due to the death of a character who is "central to the plot". Whatever.
Just go around him; he may cast a spell if he sees you, but he won't move from his post. You can compelte the Ice Temple without him, so don't worry.</font>

Well, dunno if it's caused by raiding his cabinet. I did that once (was uninpressed by the items), and he never attacked us. Of course, I had my rogue do the dirty work before Nikky woke up. It may be different if you try this when he's up and about.

As to being "central to the plot", the game lies. I've had several parties that never even entered his room, so we never agreed to the favor, and the game progressed as usual. The only difference is, when we went to the Fields of Slaughter, we really went there instead of being kidnapped by Nikky. Of course, we missed out on the "share wisdom" xp, but it was a small price to pay to avoid the silly demon hunt.

If you opened his cabinet while he was asleep, he will not turn hostile towards your party. But after he has awaken, don't even try to open his cabinet even though if he is not in the room; He must have had a magical CCTV installed. [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]

when you first go in his room have your rogue open his cabinet and clean it out then after he does wake him it takes two or three times to wake him then get as much imformation from him as you can. Agree to do him a favor and then accept his help.

if you already took all the stuff out of his cupboard don't ask for him to share magic items because you already stole them so go for share wisdom and receive MASSIVE EXPERIENCE, or have him help you defeat Aeij-Kellenzr't and hell cast protection from the elements on your entire party.
Your best bet is Take the experience points because it raised everone in my party up a level and the spell didn't last long and didn't do any good.
