After what seems days of thinking and research. i came up with this. Comments please? trying to get a balanced party...
1. Ranger(4)Druid(remaining) Neutral Good (Druid Purposes) Str-14 (above ave. Str for frontline stand) Dex-12 (going for high AC) Con-14 (Above ave. Con for Frontline stand) Int-10 Wis-14 (Druid casting abilities) Cha-12 (Leader) 2. Fighter(4)Barbarian(remaining) Chaotic Good Str-16 (must-have) Dex-12 (lowered because going for high AC) Con-20 (Tanker) Int-10 Wis-10 Cha-08 3. Rogue(4)Fighter(remaining) Chaotic Good Str-18 (Another Fighter-class) Dex-12 (Going for high AC) Con-18 (intended tank) Int-12 Wis-10 Cha-08 4. Cleric (morning lord of lathandar) Neutral Good Str-12 Dex-12 Con-14 (2nd line-up,fighter) Int-10 Wis-18 (Spells) Cha-10 5. Sorceress Chaotic Good Str-10 Dex-14 Con-14 Int-10 Wis-12 Cha-20 (spells potency) 6. Wizard True Neutral Str-10 Dex-14 Con-16 Int-20 (Spells) Wis-10 Cha-18 That's it. So far i've been enjoying myself using this party. Sensible forefront, druid and cleric healers, a regular thief and wiz and sor offensive magics... heh. 1000 magic missle will probably drop a red dragon Comments and criticism appreciated.=D |
Sounds a good-balanced party. Just an advice, you can take 1 level ranger for your rogue and get amdidex and 2 wep fight skills.
|
Pretty Good but I would raise the dexterity on your rogue a tad to give hime more of a deflection advantage
|
Unbalanced class levels give you a 20% experience penalty. That is, if you don't have 1:2, 2:2, 3:2, 3:4, etc. Of course, if the classes your multiclassing into are the favored class, then you've got no problems.

Is the xp penalty on every level of any class you take unless your non-favoured classes are balanced? And Anamics...I like your party, but personally I'd take either more levels of rogue or give that character enough intelligence to get extra skill points. You don't get many as a fighter and it'd be sad to have a rogue who could EITHER open locks or disable devices... |
finished it - and tested some additional things ...
1st i think that wisdom isn't the real name for this attribut it should be called willpower - fits far better u will accounter many spellhurlers which will lunch masses of willpower-related spells on u e.g. sleep, confusion, charm, hold (believe me u need protection!!!) Fighter(4)Barbarian(x) senseless go fo a true berserker and max ST! the +2 Damage isn't worth the loose of levels since u loose them on the levels u spent!!! e.g half orc 20 16 18 1 16 3 (33% of exp made in a party with 1 fighter and a fighter - 5) + highest possible Str + 2nd in Constitution + can't confused that easy Rogue(4)Fighter(x) well u will come over many traps which can't set of - meaning u enter it take damage and the trap remains for the next char! i really think u need a pure thief for the various adventure task and using finesse weapon makes u able dealing damage based on dex Ranger(4)Druid(x) doesn't work :( 1st counting u stats let me see this class will be penalized - %20 percent max level 17 - 4(Ranger) - 1(penalty) = 12!! meaning no access to heal or mass heal the only working healing spells in the heat of battle the rest i think is more gameplay - i prefer a fighter for the 2nd mage but that shouldn't make the edge |

it takes as long as u are not on 8/4/3 (e.g.) it works at this way just delete u fav class from u calculations in this example u have a fighter 4/ ranger 1 left - this means 20% penalty!!! |
The penalty continues until you bring the uneven classes into balance. The barb class is totally ignored here for this purpose. So if you have 8/4/1, and the 8 is the barb, that's ignored, so you're looking at the 4/1. Until you get that up to at least 4/3, you suffer the 20% loss.
