OK, in Beregost, I think in the Red Sheaf Inn, there is the dwarf who lost some boots of steath or whatever. Well, i badly wanted them for my thief, so i kept them until i found a second pair finally. Well, once, when i went to give them to him, he took both pairs. So i reloaded, and everything went fine, except i have found a bug. If you want to cheat in a pair of boots, you can give them to him for unlimited experience. I figured this is a bug that can be patched, but i have BG: the original saga (on 3 cd with TOTSC), so i figure its fully patched straight from the box... maybe im the first to find this bug. You might also notice that a lot of my more recent posts have been about bugs, so maybe its my game. Give me a holler if you got somethin to add.

This actually is not a unique bug in BG. You can also perform the same stunt with the Thunderhammer smithy in Beregost when selling him Ankheg shells for 500gp a piece. Then when you've sold him so many you find one last shell and you already have enough money to make the armor. Going back and forth between the farm N of FAI and selling shells in Beregost can earn you quite a bit of exp. as well as a big hunk of gold.

I hate to argue, but I'm fairly sure that the Beregost Ankheg selling is not a bug. True, he stops after he makes the armor, but that was to keep all fighters in your party from having that plate, for balancing reasons. Maybe I'm wrong again.
