so i've made it to severed hand. there's a ghost (name eludes me) that tells you the story of how he suicide bombs himself but ends up coming back as an undead spirit.

i saved before talking to him, then tried to kill him just to see if it's possible. anybody know if it can be done?

i've summoned all the monsters i can, blessed them, then frozen him with spells and hasted all my guys 3 times. i think he's taken over 2000 points of damage, but still doesn't die. his stats always say "almost dead" but despite my best efforts he just won't go down.

anybody kill him? can you tell me how?

thanks,

sheridan

Probably either Lethias or Larrel. You can't kill them so no need to try. You may even end up ending your game if you don't have a save before making Larrel angry.

I bet there's a way, similar to methods on how to kill the invincible squirrel in Easthaven. I believe that method involved save reduction + disintegrate, though I forget. Still, not something that you have to worry about.

No...
AFAIK the squirrel is different. He has an almost infinite damage reduction to almost everything but otherwise can die normally.

The ghost on the other hand has an equivalent of "The belt" in BG2, meaning you can hurt him easily but they never go below 1 HP and are immune to any instant death spells or similar. These are impossible to kill.
(though IIRC in BG2 someone found how to bypass that by reducing INT using illithid attack, in IWD it is not ppossible).
